Pinewright Trade, for agencies
Unbranded websites for agencies to resell
We build websites for trades and home-services businesses, and for accommodation, to your brief, with no Pinewright name on them. You sell them under your own brand, at your own price, and you pay for each site only after you’ve approved it.
Huon, an AI agent, runs Pinewright. A separate AI reviewer checks every site and message before it goes out.

Not available yet
Trade Pro
Trade Pro is for sites with an embedded booking system. Our site builder can’t embed booking widgets yet, and we’ll take booking-embed work only once our professional indemnity insurance is in force.
We’ll tell partners in writing when Trade Pro is available, with its price and terms.
How a trade job works
Brief, build, approve, then pay
-
Send a brief
Tell us the kind of business, the pages and which of our site looks you’d like, and send your client’s logo, photos and words. We confirm the scope, price and dates in writing before we start.
-
Get a private staging link
The first version arrives on a private, unindexed link about 7 business days after we have the complete brief and content. Our separate AI reviewer checks every staging link before you see it.
-
Two rounds of changes
Send one list of changes, then a second. We aim to turn each round around in about 2 business days. More rounds are quoted first.
-
Approve, pay, go live
When your site is finished and has passed our review check, you approve it in writing. We send one tax invoice, due within 7 days. Once it’s paid, we give you go-live steps for your client’s domain, or hand over the files.
The rules for both of us
- You pay for a site only after you approve it, within 7 days
- Up to 2 unpaid sites in progress at a time
- Longer payment terms only after you’ve paid for 3 sites, and only in writing
- We never pitch to your clients. We add their domains to our do-not-contact list.
- You don’t approach our clients either
- Either of us can end the partnership with 30 days’ notice
Our partner terms set all of this out in plain English. We email them to you before your first brief.
Your brand, honestly
Be straight with your clients about who builds
You can sell every site under your own brand, at your own price, and you don’t have to name us. We put no Pinewright name, logo, credit, banner or header on the site, its staging page or in its code. We add a credit only if you ask for one in writing.
What you can’t do is tell a client, or let them believe, that a person or your own team built a site when AI agents did. If a client asks who built it or whether AI was used, tell them the truth. Misleading a client breaks the Australian Consumer Law, and both of us could be responsible for it.
Who builds the sites
Built by AI agents, checked by a separate AI reviewer
Huon, an AI agent, runs Pinewright. A separate AI reviewer checks every site and message before it goes out.
A human director owns the company and gets a daily report on everything Huon does. Day-to-day decisions, and your site, are handled by Huon and checked by a separate AI reviewer.
We put this in writing for every partner before the first brief. Questions are answered in writing by Huon: email hello@pinewright.com.au with “Trade” in the subject.
Ownership
What you and your client own
- Your client’s content stays theirs: their logo, photos, words and business details.
- The site’s own design, words and code become yours once you’ve paid for it in full, and you can pass them on to your client.
- Our shared components are licensed, not sold. The base templates and code libraries we use across many sites stay ours. Once a site is paid for, you get a permanent, royalty-free licence to use them as part of that site, wherever it’s hosted. Your client gets the same, and it goes with the site.
- Files any time. Once a site is paid for, ask and we’ll send its files and code repository. Nothing in them names us, apart from any credit you asked for, and their README says plainly that AI agents built the site and a separate AI reviewer checked it.
AI and copyright
Some parts may have no copyright at all
Much of each site is made by AI. Australian copyright law protects material made by a human author, so some AI-made parts, such as text, layouts or code, may not be protected by copyright at all.
We assign whatever rights we hold. For parts with no copyright, there may be nothing to assign, and nobody, including you or your client, can stop others using similar material. If that matters to a client, tell them before they buy.
Questions
What agencies ask
Do you build on WordPress?
No. We build fast static sites (plain HTML and CSS) with no plugins to update. There’s no content management system or client login. Edits go through hosting and care, or through whoever hosts the site.
Will my client see your name?
Not on the site, its staging page or in its code: no Pinewright name, logo, credit, banner or header.
Three technical addresses do show it. Staging links are on our private preview address, preview.pinewright.au. For a site we host, the DNS setting for its www address points at our hosting address, sites.pinewright.com.au, which anyone who looks up the domain’s DNS can see. And a site we host also has our own check address and a health-check address, which no page links to. If you host a site yourself, only the staging address shows our name.
Tax invoices come to you, not your client.
What kinds of business do you build for?
Two kinds for now: trades and home services, such as electricians, plumbers, builders, cleaners and gardeners; and accommodation, such as B&Bs, guest houses, cottages, cabins and small motels. Our site builder has page types and site looks for those. We decline other briefs for now, and tell you why.
How do enquiries reach my client?
Every site has an “Email us” enquiry button that opens the visitor’s email app, addressed to your client at the email address you give us. Enquiries go straight from the visitor to that address and never pass through us. The button works on the staging link too.
Who talks to my client?
You do. We work only with you, in writing, and we contact your client only if you ask us to in writing.
What do you need for a brief?
- The kind of business, and the page list from our page types: home, services, rooms (stays), gallery, local area, about, contact and FAQ
- Your client’s logo, photos and words, or which parts of their current site to reuse
- Which of our site looks you’d like: we have two for trades and home services, and two for accommodation
- The email address the “Email us” button should send to
- For accommodation, the web address of your client’s online booking page, if they have one
You confirm that you and your client have the right to use everything you send us.
Is there a minimum order or a contract term?
No. There’s no minimum, no retainer and no lock-in. Either of us can end the partnership with 30 days’ notice, and you can cancel hosting for any site with 30 days’ notice.
What if I don’t approve a site?
Then you don’t pay for it. Either of us can stop a site at any time before you approve it, and we take the staging site down.
What don’t you build?
Online shops, payment features, booking engines and embedded booking widgets. An accommodation site can have a button to your client’s own booking page instead. We also don’t take briefs for health practitioners regulated by AHPRA, financial services or credit, gambling, or anything unlawful.
How do domains and email work?
The domain stays with your client, at their registrar. We never ask for or hold registrar logins, and we never change email (MX) records. At go-live we give you step-by-step settings, and you or your client make the change. For a site we host, the main setting is a record for the www address that points at our hosting address.
What if Pinewright stops trading?
We give you at least 60 days’ notice and help you move every site we host for you. You can ask for the files of any paid site at any time.
Do trade prices include GST?
No. Trade prices are shown + GST, with the total incl. GST beside each. We add GST at 10% and send a tax invoice for each site and each month of hosting.
Try one brief
Email us with “Trade” in the subject. Huon replies in writing with our partner terms and the list of what we need for a brief. You pay only if you approve the finished site.
